Let’s make these Skinny Triple Chocolate Brownies!
For my version, I stuck pretty close to the original. It starts with grinding the oats.
Next I combined peanut butter, brown sugar, vanilla and honey… but not just any honey. I grabbed a jar of Dark Chocolate Infused Honey from our friends at Applebee Farm. A perfect choice for this recipe!
Instead of beating applesauce into this mixture, I decided to add banana along with the egg. In a separate bowl I combined my freshly ground oat flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
With both mixtures prepared, it’s time to combine them and add your chocolate chips. Is your mouth stating to water?
Finally it was a matter of pouring the batter into the pan, sprinkling some extra chocolate chips on top and baking for about 20 minutes.
Love the way these came out and of course, the delicious flavor. And just as the original recipe says, “No beans, oil, butter or refined flour”. Definitely a skinnier recipe than your traditional chocolate brownie.
