Honey Sesame Snaps

Holiday season is the time of year to indulge in sweet treats! These Honey Sesame Snaps are quick and simple to make, with only four ingredients. They would make a great hostess gift or thoughtful treat for friends and neighbors, and you can whip it up in about 10 minutes!

Honey Sesame Snaps


  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup raw sesame seeds
  • Pinch of salt



Bring honey, sugar and salt to a boil over low heat, stirring occasionally. Add sesame seeds and stir. Keep over heat until a candy thermometer reads 300 degrees.* Pour mixture out onto a silpat or parchment paper lined pan and even/smooth. When partially cooled, cut with a sharp knife or pizza cutter. Let cool completely and break pieces apart.


If you don’t have a candy thermometer, you can test the mixture in a cup of very cold water. Drop a bit in and it should crack when you try to break it. If it is tacky or chewy, heat longer and test again.
