Our kids love honey and they especially love bananas. It never really occurred to me to combine the two ingredients until I came across this recipe for Fried Honey Bananas by Rachel Schultz. Making this recipe was one of my better decisions of the day, and the kiddos devoured it!
My twist for these Fried Honey Bananas
Now, since we happen to have a very large collection of honeys, choosing which honey to use for this recipe was a top priority. The recipe calls for honey and cinnamon, so I decided to cheat a little. I used one of my favorite honeys that combines the two–Stubbees Cinnamon Raw Creamed Honey. Let me tell ya, it did not disappoint!
A tip when you try this recipe for yourself.
- Make sure that when you add the water to the honey, the water is warm. This will help thin out the creamed honey to get the right consistency for the recipe. It gives the bananas a nice even glaze. YUM!
